Se apropie sărbătorile de iarnă!

The winter holidays approach!

The UK’s Christmas stamps this year are special, because, in addition to 4 gorgeous postage stamps illustrating Madonna & Child, there are 2 others with children’s drawings. It was a contest organized this year by Royal Mail, in which were proposed not less than 200,000 different entries, of which all were chosen by Prince Charles only two – ‘Santa Claus on his sleigh on a starry night’ (10-year-old Ted Lewis-Clark) and ‘Snow family’ (9-year-old Arwen Wilsoney).

Interesting is that this is the 4th time in 500 years of Royal Mail’s existence when this competition is organized, after the previous editions of 1966, 1981, and 2013.

  1. Why only 4 times? You would think that they would do this more often.

    • Yes, Ron, it’s true, and I also hope that such projects to be more frequent, because stamp collecting must be liked especially by young generation, so the future to sounds good. I think this is valable for every hobby, isn’t it so?
